Hello, my name is Adam. Welcome to my home machine shop. I like to take videos of my work and share them with others here. You may find some clips from some of the work I do at my other job as well mixed in. We are a family owned business that was started in 1972, and today I carry on the tradition as a third generation machinist. I try to be helpful and informative with my job and work descriptions in hopes that others my learn the machining trade as well. I like to use my GoPro HD cameras to make clear and enjoyable videos to watch. You may also find a few other personal videos of my family and I, as well as some road trip and local exploration videos of the Gulf Coast from time to time. Please feel free to post comments and questions about my work. I hope you guys enjoy! Adam

Channel Alec Steele

Alec Steele

My name's Alec Steele and here you'll find near-daily videos documenting the process of building some awesome projects here in the shop. As a blacksmith, most of the projects start as lumps of steel, or stacks of different alloys for making damascus, that I forge out into blades, sculpture, art or tools before taking the project to the machining equipment or into the grinding room for finishing. Each project teaches me a lot and stretches the bounds of my knowledge. I make a lot of mistakes but they serve as an excellent teacher. There's always something important for me to learn in the shop! I want my work to be the spark that ignites the desire for you to get into your shop (or kitchen/basement/garage) and make something too! Whether it's stitching a leather wallet or forging a giant sword, you'll love the creative process. Be sure to follow me on instagram @alecsteele for behind the scenes and grab some awesome t-shirts at https://alecsteeleshop.com/ Thanks! Alec

Channel Wide Vision Metal Fab

Wide Vision Metal Fab

Metalworking videos! Previously known as GreatSamson3000, I had to create a new channel. I run my own metal fabrication business, Wide Vision, in Rural, North West Kansas, just outside the big village of Palco. The machining videos are done on either an Atlas 10D lathe made in 1943, or my old 20" Rockford Flywheel lathe. I take on all sorts of projects, and post a good deal of them here.

We make videos to share our adventures and wisdom gained in metalwork. Projects include welding and metal fabrication, CNC plasma cutting, milling, and lathe work, and good old fashioned hand-crafted creations. Occasionally, we have guest hosts doing projects aimed squarely at the younger generation as well. Videos release twice a week based on the project urgency and are typically categorized as Project Updates or Shop Updates. Project updates focus on a particular item we are making while Shop updates might cover more general topics and news.

Metalworking is one of the most important fields of activity in the modern world. Everything is explained quite simply, metal is our present. Without it, planes do not fly, trains and cars do not travel, engines do not work. Metal is the basis of modern progress and the development of the world economy depends on how effective its processing is.

Our service bloggers-top.com will tell you about the unique methods of metal processing. You will be able to see firsthand how perfect it can be. And this is important, because many people, in the old fashioned way, still work on metal processing in their garages or homes. This is done mainly for domestic needs. It is for this reason that we have gathered specialists who specialize in these matters and can share their experience with you. And they have very significant experience. Many of them are associated with metalworking throughout their lives, and therefore they know everything about this subject. They will tell you how to properly process metal, what kind of metal is, its features, which is unacceptable when working with this material.

Our masters will demonstrate the basic processing techniques on their machines. Some will share their skills in making home machine tools. This is important in our time, given the cost of this equipment in the modern market.

For garage use, some master bloggers have created entire workshops, most of the equipment of which is made by hand.

We are sure that the video on the bloggers-top.com resource on metal processing, as well as the creation of specialized machines with your own hands, will be very interesting and informative for you.
